there must be something in the... office drinks!

what is it about the beverages in the office thats not exactly water-cooler gossip? hhhmmm. first few days in the office, i got introduced into a not-so-PG energy drink that actually tastes good. must be tricky to market this one. but then again sex sells, or so they say.and then the other day we got this Lipton Sedang tea that also taste good... like peach really. but someone labelled it before he probably even got the chance to try. tsk. tsk. tsk.

flea market finds: jade jewelry and a basket

guess which twisted jade beaded feng shui bracelet i bought in Hongkong for $45? the other two i bought in the flea last saturday for .50p each! can you believe that?????? the honey brown one is mine :) ive been looking for baskets to decorate around the house as well as to store stuff in. this cute trio is just perfect for storing soaps, beads, ribbons, etc. bought it for just £2! am giddy!cant wait for the next flea! i am plotting to go again to spain for another thrift adventure!

the remover of obstacles

this is Lord Ganesh, the most widely worshipped deity in the Hindu pantheon. also known as Lord of Beginnings and Lord of Obstacles. his elephant head is very distinct so you can easily recognize him. a very nice gift from the Mandal family :) all the way from India and the USA :) thank you to Jo, Lax, Sne and Jools!i still don't know where to strategically put him but i have a few ideas :)
